Defrosted some soup

Last week I pulled out the some of the extra beads that I had received in my first BSBP from Lynne Bowland.  I made a couple of pairs of earrings with some of them.  Slowly but surely, I will be able to do justice to the soups I've been sent:)

Soup For Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

It's here, the reveal day for the Bead Soup Blog Party.  Once again, I have finished my one piece right under the wire.  Thursday night to be exact.  Actually it was mostly done last Saturday and I am not completely sure that it's done yet:)  I keep going back and forth on whether or not I need to add some dangles on the bottom of the focal.  Just like the last BSBP, my partner sent me an awesome focal and I've added minimal extras because the focal is so special.  I need to have another reveal day of my own and make something with all of the coordinating beads that my current partner and my prior partner sent me.
The creative journey this time was quite interesting.  When I pulled out the wire that Diane had kindly put through the focal bead to mark where the hole was, I couldn't find that hole again!  I thought I had broken my focal!!  Luckily I was able to find it once more but I ended up using the original wire to attach it to my design.  So, this necklace is much different from the one I had originally seen in my head.  I felt that the turquoise/copper fire polished Czech beads I had went perfectly with the lace agate stone that Diane beaded the bezel around, so they became part of the design.
Take a look at the pictures, visit my partner Diana's blog and see what she created with the soup I sent her.  I can't wait to see what she's done.  Then take a look at the rest of the participants in the list below.  There are some fantastic bead soups out there and sure to be some great pieces of jewelry on display.
